Need help installing headlight assemblies on a 2012.

Postby AtlantaRuffian » Tue Sep 30, 2014 11:58 am

I know that the subject of the headlights on 08+ PFs is a sore one at the very least, but I need help.
I'm going to replace my headlight assemblies on my 2012 and can't find anything on how to do it or if it's any different than the general process with the 05-07 procedure.
Any guidance would be greatly appreciated and yes, I know you can't fit 05-07 headlights to an 08+.

The headlights are different, due to the nose being extended forward in 2008 to help accommodate the V8, but the replacement procedure is similar. Grille and front bumper cover need to be removed. It's not hard if you have a general assortment of metric tools and Phillips head screwdrivers. I'm pretty sure there's a thread on these forums, but if you can't find it, do a quick search on YouTube.

Surprisingly, I haven't found as many videos on YouTube as I thought would be out there but there are some decent posts on doing it to an 05-07. I was just wondering if there were any known major differences in the setup or pitfalls to watch out for. Thanks for the reply!

Did you find any videos? I have a 2010 and need to replace my foggy head light assembly. I'm also on the fence on whether or not to do the HID upgrade or just stick with Sylvania bulbs...

Here's a link on how to do it on a 2005. The procedure is the same. It's not a video, but it does give the step by step:
