2012 Pathfinder mileage improvement

Has anyone else noticed that the computer's calculated mileage figures are always better than the real mileage that I calculate? Can the mileage be improved by using an engine chip programmer like the BULLY DOG® GT Platinum Programmer or the JET® V-Force Plus Computer Chip Programmer? Will the mileage be improved by adding a cold air intake system? Does anyone have first hand experience with either of these types of products? Thanks.
