driveshaft removal

driveshaft removal

06 PF. Auto. 2we. It has the aluminum drive shaft

How hard is it to remove and replace by yourself?

not hard at all. A couple nuts/bolts on the diff side and it pulls out of the transmission.

be sure to:
1) "Put matching marks on the rear propeller shaft flange yoke and
the rear final drive companion flange as shown."
2) "CAUTION:
Do not reuse the bolts and nuts. Always install new ones."

.......per the service manual
there are other important notes in the service manual regarding inspection & reassembly in the "Propeller Shaft" section...........
