NEW TO ME 99 SE PATHFINDER TWO THINGS TO FIX !

Postby m-21 » Mon Apr 18, 2016 3:15 pm

Just bought a 99 pathfinder and I would like to put a real temperature gauge and oil pressure gauge on it rather than depend on the idiot lights, when they go on it is usually over. The truck has the 6 cyl and automatic tranny. Any one that has done this or can point me in the right direction would be appreciated.

This is not necessary. Its very unlikely that it will over heat or lose oil pressure if you check your fluid levels every time you put gas in it. Its VERY unlikely that the OEM gauges/lights will fail at the exact same time that you develop a huge leak. Aftermarket gauges are less reliable, and are prone to leaking. However, if you are looking to add them for fun, then take a look on eBay. There are many many gauges available. Some are mechanical and some are digital with back-lighting. They are pretty easy to install, and they add some bling to the interior - especially if your wheel'n.
