Magnaflow Stainless Cat-back

Postby GimmieSumMo72 » Sat Nov 15, 2008 8:40 am

I'm new to the forums, and searched for what kind of exhausts people put on their Pathfinders and the most common that came up was the Gibson set up which really didn't get good reviews.

I was wondering if anyone has used the Magnaflow Cat-back set up?

The one linked above is set up for a Frontier, but I'm guessing the Frontier and the Pathfinder has the same chassis.

Would this fit on the Pathfinder Off-Road?

Any suggestions before I click the check-out button?

I doubt it'll fit on a Pathfinder as I don't see Pathfinder accessories on the website.

As far as I am aware the Frontier (same as D40 Navara in Aust ) is about 300mm longer in the chassis between the axles but I could be incorrect .....

yeah i checked that too...

but aren't the chassis on both similar? shouldn't it be somewhat compatible?

the only problem i see is length of the tail pipe.

V8... is 300mm close to 12 inches (1 foot)?

im kinda stuck on this cat-back because its easy to install and love the sound!

borla has a muffler but that entails welding and use of the stock piping which is like 2 inches instead of 3 inches.

wouldn't that still restrict the outflow?

everything forward of the muffler should fit, however the pipe after the muffler would all most-likely need modified, the frontier is solid axle, the independent rear on the pathy leaves MINIMAL room for the tailpipe to go through. i'd highly doubt the tail section of the kit will be usable at all.

let us know how it goes (and sounds)
