9007 headlight bulb options

Postby NVSteve » Mon Dec 15, 2008 12:07 pm

I installed the Ultrastars right off the bat, but I have been far from impressed with them. I'm going to order up a new set, probably based on the feedback here, but they aren't going to be Sylvania.

So, which of the following would you suggest? White light only, and please no HID discussion. These all use the stock wattage input:

1. Luminics Krypton Titanium White, 5500K, 140/120 output
2. Luminics Titanium White, 5500K, 140/120 output
3. Lumincs Krypton Ultra White, 5150K, 140/120 output
4. Luminics Ultra White, 5150K, 140/120 output
5. Nokya Cosmic White, 5000K, 100/80 output
6. MTEC 2x Super White, 4350K, 130/110 output
8. PIAA Xtreme White Plus, 4000K, 120/110 output

For those who have any of the above, how accurate are the temperature & output figures given?

Going to bump this one up again... :)

I've used the Silverstars in my Mazda, they work GREAT in those housings, but they don't last long at all.

Has anyone tried the Hella bulbs? If not, I'll probably just get the PIAs, since anything that last longer than 4-6 months is better than the Silverstars.

EDIT
Haha, I got 3 sets of the Silverstar Ultras for the same price as I could find the PIAAs for. Oh well.
