Pathfinder 2007 fuel economy

Postby Lovers » Mon Mar 22, 2010 8:08 am

I have a 2007 Pathfinder Aventura auto. The economy is horrendous - 24mpg combined. I have recently had a performance chip added by Paramount Performace and the economy is now below 20mpg. PP have toild me that I need to run the car for 500 oddd iles before I see any improvement. Does anyone else have any experience of this as I was lead to believe the improvement would be immediate. Is this common to all Pathfinders or do I have one which is particularly bad. I would like to get 30 mpg and that is what the list mpg should be.

Any help / advice would be much appreciated.

I'm not familiar with the mod chip you got, but in general the R51 PF is a BIG and HEAVY vehicle. The fuel economy is not the best, but it's definitely not the worst when looking at what you can do with it. If you search this forum for fuel economy topics you might be surprised what you find.
