Third row seat straps

Postby altimania » Tue Jul 13, 2010 2:10 pm

I have a 2005 R51 LE and was wondering if anyone knows whether I can add the strap for the third row seats from 2006+ R51's. Would I need to replace the whole latch assembly or can I just buy the strap and add it to my current latch?

Here are pictures of what I'm talking about:

We routinely use our third row because we have family and friends visiting from out of town so trying to put the third row up without a strap is a PITA.

http://www.courtesyparts.com/pathfinder ... _6988.html

from the looks of this it is possible, but im not sure what the work involve might be, I went and took a look at mine and it looks like you gonna need the strap(88665Q) and the bezel(89626) and probably the bolt to the strap, hope this help.

From the site it says 05-08, so I wonder why yours didnt come with it, maybe a trim issue.

If you have an autowrecker close to where you are check and see if they have any damaged 2006 and up pathfinders and take the ones from that vehicle if they have not been taken already, might be cheaper than the stealership.

Just wait until you get your 4Runner ByPath. The 2nd and 3rd row seats aren't any better. I'm not saying this to put you down. The Pathfinder is actually very roomy for it's size.

Hmm....I wonder if it is a trim issue. What trim R51 is your 2007? Just curious. Thanks for the input everyone.

RAV4's are a joke. I've heard you have to pay more to have the 5 seat model and pay less to get the 7 seat.

TRD.... Toyota forgot the "u"! TuRD :o)
