Fun fact (06 Pathfinder V6 vs '07 Jeep GC 4.7L V8)

Postby amr40509 » Fri Oct 26, 2007 3:51 am

My wife has a rental while has new Rogue is in the body shop (some kid hit it, while parked, the same week she got it....still on the first tank of gas). She started out w/ a Ford Edge, but it broke down (in my garage) and had to be taken away on a flat bed truck. SO now she has (I've been driving it since she is used to my car) a '07 Jeep GC 4.7L w/ ALL of the options on it.

Yesterday we did a little...test. The Jeep gets off of the line faster(V8 torque and full time 4wd), but then gets left behind pretty fast. The Pathfinder has to get spooled up to 4K+ RPMS to get the power up to gain on the Jeep, but once it gets past 4k in fist gear, it pulls HARD on the Jeep and gets past it in a hurry.

A drag race with your wife? I think that is a first on any board. Who was driving what?

Sorry to hear your new rogue got hit. Gumball licenses.

Haha, I was in my Pathfinder.

We ended up having both cars comming back from the body shop (thought we were picking up her Rogue, but the guys at the body shop had screwed up and had some more to fix before we would take it) and well...there are several stop lights w/ 4 lanes on the way home :)
We didn't run them up to insane speeds, just layed on from a light a couple of times ;)
