New Pathfinder owner, liking this site!

Postby Tosh » Thu Jan 20, 2011 10:07 am

Hi everyone, looks like I'll be a regular here... just bought a 2006 Pathfinder SE and am itching to do things to it but would value some feedback on some of my choices... I have done some searching here and see a lot of great info. Coming from a WRX wagon this is a big change.

It has no fog lights :( Those plastic caps are begging to be filled with 2 lights and after reading some of the threads here it sounds like the wiring is there I just need the lights and switch for the steering column, any recommendations on where I should buy? There have been links posted but over the last couple of hears, whats the current consensus?

I picked up a "cheap" deck for it because the stock stereo is pretty plain jane... Its one of those double din 7 inch touch screen bluetooth GPS DVD deals. Link below:

Anyone try one of these before? I know there are better ones out there but for the price, why now try it out...

Any feedback or advice on ANYTHING is welcomed and appreciated!

To appease the Nissan gurus I offer funny work safe links 8) :

:) welcome to the forum
for your fog lights, here's a link to a popular site & parts source
the kit listed is for a 2010 model, but you can call them to verify that it will fit your 2006, or if they have a different kit for yours

BTW, not to alarm you, but there are several all-too-common issues that may affect your 2006 R51 that you should be aware of

Thanks man, I'll check it out.

I will order those fog lights after confirming they fit next week.

Any of you using the bluetooth OBDII connector? I have my Android phone and the app "Torque" is a godsend, everything you could possibly want to know about the engine is recorded...
