Bilstein 5100 series test fit PF needed

Postby Gray » Wed Jan 23, 2008 1:00 am

I got this from another forum and the info looked to be still current about a month ago;

"Bilstein 5100 series test fit vehicles needed

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Bilstein needs the following vehicles for 5100 series snap ring lift/leveling test fitment.

2005-2008 Nissan Xterra 4wd

2005-2008 Nissan Pathfinder 4wd preferred

Vehicle should be stock. We will need it for 3-4 days. It will be returned with a full tank of gas and your new set of 5100 shocks installed.

Please contact Steve in R&D at our Poway office 1-800-537-1085"

Good news that we'll have Bilstein 5100's available to us soon. :)

Crap!......Just bought the OMEs!!!!!

Actually, Poway is too far away for me to go....and, I don't think the Bilsteins will give any real advantage over the OMEs, I'm thinking they will end up being the same, lift wise. Just a preference over ride quality?

I've got a call into Steve at Bilstein to give some information about the three different models ie; LE/SE, OR and V8 and find out more about the 5100's or others in development. Hopefully he'll come on to the forum with some info.

Um, tell Steve that the 08 SE-OR comes with Bilstein shocks. I don't know if they are the 5100 series, but someone at Bilstein should know what the specs are on the 08 SE-OR. After all, Nissan had to buy them from Bilstein.

Anyone know when these will be out?

Almost time for an upgrade and would consider either Bilstein 5100s + King Springs or OME all around.

cheers
