Reverse light stay on?????

g'day guys I have a 2009 Pathfinder, I currently have a issue with the reverse lights staying on all the time and reverse sensors not working so I'm no afraid to let the misses drive it lol, its an automatic and I've been told there is a solenoid in the gear stick but have no idea. any help would be much appreciated thanks.
