While the ride is way more comfortable than the Xterra, I must admit, its more front-end heavy. Turn in isnt nearly as graceful. Like the fron tires are sayin "I want to go straight no matter how hard ya turn"

Granted this comparo is with my Xterra. yes 2 vehicles but still, it should be the same or at least improve.

Also, front brakes. Man this truck dives, and it doesnt wanna slow down. I feel like I'm stomping on the pedal just to stop.

Also still want cargo cover....

Gripes done.

I love it otherwise... Really.

GB, since you posted the poll, what is it that you don't like?

Aside from the weak suspension & lack of cargo cover, I'm happy.

Only thing that gets to me is the rear squat under acceleration .... would be ok if I was desert racing , but on the street it needs to be stiffer in the rear ...

And yea, better Gas mileage would be a plus ... but we get better mileage with the Pathfinder than we EVER did with the '01 SC Frontier !!

I just love it..

(I even have a cargo cover, but can't use it for many years)

Fuel economy isn't that bad, because I've got the Diesel
(just had to rub it in)
8.5-1.1L/100km :-)

Bought my 05 new. Now have 46k miles, and I love it! Power, ride, looks, reasonable off-road capability. Only thing is I want more ground clearance.... have orded the OME suspension.

Thanks Steve, no problems so far and I like the vehicle the way it is for what I use it for, although I'll likely change the suspension to a PF 08V8 type when this stock one starts to feel weaker than it is.

Just wanted to see if there were any major complaints from other posters.

I have a couple of gripes about it, like the easily scratchable plastics on the interior, and the jarring you get when going over bumps in the road.

I like most everything about it. Mine was a slightly used 08 S 4x4 from Enterprise rental car. Only complaints were some of thes things that don't come factor on the base model that really don't cost that much to add, like running boards, side molding, and the cross bars for the roof rack.

Milage could be better, but I try not to put my foot to the floor at every take off. It is my first SUV though.

Some things I do like:

3 row seating
Factory tow hitch
Diversity antenna
Factory sound system has decent sound
sits up high so I can see further down the road (last car was a saturn SL)

This is what I would change:

Stiffer suspension
Make all 4 windows one-touch down and up
All 4 doors unlock when you hit the remote once
Move the button on the dash to the end of a stalk to scroll through the different on-board computer screens (e.g. MPG, DTE, etc.)
Have a spring loaded coin holder
Driver's seat that can go down lower toward the floor
Less complicated heating/AC system
Ability to adjust auto-headlight on/off sensitivity
Bigger storage compartments for things like tools and jumper cables
Remove third row seat

Other than that, I like it a lot

1. I wish the 2nd row seats reclined further.

2. Front seats in leather don't have the fold flat option.

3. Less bumpsteer.

1. LACK OF AFTERMARKET PARTS AVAILABILITY!!!
(unless you live in Australia)

2. Third Row seat is useless, I'd rather have a larger second row.

Still kicks the 4Runners butt, even without the V8!

Agree. Not something we should be getting in this level of SUV... It's on my list of things to fix, though...

Really, now that I have the suspension sorted out how I like it, that is my last complaint.
