Here is my 04 Pathy, got it last year used with 35k miles, i love it. Havnt really done much to it yet besides the rainguards and the Thule snowboard racks. I am looking into some new rims, wanted to ask if anyone has ever went with a smaller rim and bigger tire combo, and if this had any adverse affects on handling and performance? I currently have a 16" rim, id like to go with a 15" and add that inch into tire size, also would probably add an inch at the rim width too so i have more traction on the beach. Then maybe go with a 2" lift kit IF they rub. Any suggestions or advice?

Here are some pictures...

nice... drivin' on that beach looks fun, just dont get to close to the edge

anyway, as for wheels / tires, yes you *can* go with smaller wheels and larger tires. i know on the current model PF, the bolt hole spacing is a bit wonky, and not many mfrs make wheel packages that fit the spacing. this may or may not be the case with your year PF... but i cant speak with any experience. also, you have to make sure your brakes will clear the wheels. smaller wheels may interfere with the brake calipers... this is bad

hopefully someone with more experience speaks up... until then,

welcome!
