Newb!

Postby afcollege09 » Sat Sep 19, 2009 10:18 am

I recently bought a black 1996 Pathfinder for a winter vehicle. It needs a muffler and maybe some other minor work. It runs and drives, thats all I wanted lol.

It's fun to drive because it's a 5 speed. It also is the 4 wheel drive model. Shifts good, no grinds and the clutch grabs good.

Only things I've noticed is it leaks a little oil and the fog lights do not work...

Just curious if anyone knows why the fog lights wouldn't work? They don't seem to be broken.

I'm sure I'll have more questions soon lol, but will try to search. I really like the idea of having 4x4. Otherwise I'd drive my Toyota Celica.

welcome.
I'd say for fogs, start with fuses, bulbes, and follow the wiring.

Thanks guys, have to still fix the fog light.

But I just got new snow tires, full exhaust, gas line, brake line. Lol needed all that plus fixing the oil leak. But I love driving it.

I search on a problem I'm having but no luck

Regarding 2 and 4 wheel drive... The light is normally on when it's in 2wd (farthest top on shifter).

I was curious if the light is on does this mean 4 wheel drive is engaged? I don't have the manual.
