Jambo! Tanzania calling!

Postby steveindar » Sun Jan 03, 2010 9:46 am

I have a '93 Pathfinder 2.7 Diesel, no turbo, 4dr. Bought her for $3500 2 yrs ago. She's had a rough life but keeps on trucking. A previous owner front-ended her and went for the usual (around here) cheap fix to keep her on the road.
Anyway, she goes and stops and I am totally amazed that she just doesn't complain. Recently threw a whole bunch of new bushes and cross-joints on her and I can swear I could hear her smile. Did a recent trip up to Kenya over some crappy roads. Couldn't hear ourselves think for all the sqeaks and groans, but she made it. 12km/lt over 1500km and only 1lt of oil!
So where does one find all the good info on my model around here? I've looked but seem to be missing it.

Welcome to the forum! You should be able to find a few posts around here from owners who have the same model as you (except maybe the diesel portion).

You absolutely have to post some photos. Anything at all. Tanzania has been on my list of places to visit for a long time.

Sure, infrastructure is pretty threadbare. Mind you we don't go out of our way to find it!
