ok, so I have spent numerous hours on this web site reading everything and linking to other forumns and reading all there info. I hope I did not make the worst decision to buy a pathfinder I have a 06 SE all is normal at 40K miles. But everytime my wife and kids leave in it I'm paranoid now. I read about the fuel sender, the radiator, the IPDM ,u joints etc... I know the bypass on the radiator (talked to 3 trans places which told me no)even upon inpending doom. Then I get the nissan letters on extending two items and care less as they will buy me a new trans/rad and sender in the warr period. Does anyone here really like their pathfinder or like me regretting it at times?

Welcome and with all the things going on I do not regret mine, the u-joints aren't bad, they're part of maintenance anyways, mines a 06 also and have no problems with the fuel sending unit nor IPDM(knock on wood), as far as the bypass, I would say do it only because mines been done for roughly 30k miles and ive been driving in hot to cold temperatures with no problesms.

thanks for the reply. I will try the bypass, I think the trans shops I talked to discouraged me on doing it as if something was to fail I could come back barking at them, not sure they always reference this is a common method on most cars and engineered to work. I'm in the midwest so winter is approaching quickly.
