05 Pathfinder Newb

Postby kidhaulinpathfinder » Fri Nov 26, 2010 10:13 pm

Just wanted to say Hi and look forward to learning more about nissans. Its been 10 years since Ive owned a nissan.

My first question is what shocks should I get? My mechanic said my tires are cupping because of worn out struts shocks (they are original and I have 90K miles!)

Im leaning towards bilsteins. Also is the install doable on your own?

Thanks!

Welcome, I would stick with bilsteins, and it is a very easy D.I.Y
You may need to rent some tool IE: spring compressor, but other than that its straight forward.

Here you go, this one is good, its from an xterra forum but pretty much the same since the frontiers, xterra's and pathfinder share the same front suspension.

this how to shows how to change your spring and the steps required to do so, but of course your just gonna use your stock spring and put a different shock on it, but same way to do it.
