From Lagos!!!

Postby fotodadi » Mon Jan 02, 2012 1:34 am

Got my first R51 about 4 years ago....It was all I could ask for in an SUV. Great for hauling my family around Nigeria when we had our holidays.

I got the Halo Lights (with HIDs in them), a back up sensor system and an Air Horn as the only extras.

Over time, and as my family grew (bigger girls!!!) I began finding the engine a bit lazy (being a biker didn't help either) and I started looking at geting the V8. So now, I am awaiting the arrival of my V8 (Bought in December) while I sold my first Pathy. Pictures below are of my first one. When the V* arrives I will post pictures of her too.

Did a lot of snooping around and have so many extras ordered already for the V*....can hardly wait!

Welcome. I have a 5.6L V8, but not sure if it's the same motor you will have. I love mine. What modifications have you already bought?

Oh yes...its the same engine. I am importing from the US.

Mods....Hmmmmmm

Long long list.....but I am having a 2" suspension lift using Ranchos (front and back), And ARB Bumper (i prefer the way the bumper intergrates with the body work), some Driving lamps, DURATEC tyres (set me back quite a lump!!!) 1" wheel Adapters (for the looks) Rock sliders and skid plates and some chrome for the bling!!!

Meanwhile deermjd has quite an impresive list of replacements. I owned my V6 for about 35,000 miles (from 30K to 65K) and during that time the only things I ever changed were the spider bearings for the propeller shafts. Great car she was.

Nice. Looks good. Talk about a long delivery. It would have sucked to wait that long. Can't wait to see what you do with the new Pathfinder.

Your new Pathfinder looks great. Had it one day and you have already started changing it. :D
