Hello all it's good to be here on the forum. I have an '08 Pathfinder LE and have had it since 08. I've wanted to start doing some mods on it and being on a message board is always the best place to get help, I think. I'm on a motorcycle forum and I've done a bunch of work with help from those guys.

Two mods I wanted to look into are the DVD/Navi bypass switch and Navi update.

I want to be able to make entries on the navigation system or have the DVD visible on front screen. I know it's possible, but can't find a good "how to". :?

Has anyone updated their navigation system on their own? Or does everyone have to pay that $150 or whatever Nissan wants. I think that's such a rip-off.

Well anyway, hope to talk to some of you soon.

Welcome. I think I have a very simialr Pathfinder to you. The only thing mine didn't come with OEM DVD. I had an aftermarket system put in Christmas 2011. I know there are some good write ups about the parking switch grounding to allow you to input information on the navigation. I'll see if I can find them.
