New to Nissan Path - loving it!

Hey peeps,

Just signed up and have found great info and advice from multiple Pathy owners. Bought my 2005 SE 4X4 Pathfinder in '08 with a measly 23k miles and was in great shape. I have put 60k miles since. Mostly street, but I have been getting her out more lately for a little "play time".

Just installed PGR 2" leveling kit, and I currently have 265/75/16 Dynapro All-Terrain. Going to get new wheels and tires. I am leaning towards some MB Sport TKO and 265/70/70 Nitto M/T Grapplers. Any thoughts on that set-up?

Welcome aboard. Based on the year and milage, you should look into doing the transmission/radiator bypass. You can use the search engine and find all the information you will need.

As for posting a picture, you will need to up load your pictures to a photo hosting site like Photobucket. Above the message body, hit the Img key, go to Photobucket and choose your picture. To the right side, there is a "Direct" button, hit the button and paste the photo into your message. Hit the Img button again, you may need to insert the back slash so it ends like [/Img].

Thank you for the warm welcome and advice on the Tran/Rad Bypass.

Do you think that making it 84k miles with no problems would be a sign NOT to do the bypass? Maybe I got one of the "good ones"?(knock on wood) Or would you go ahead and be on the safe side and do it anyway?

Yours may never go but it might as well. Unfortunately, this is a design flaw, not worth the risk. If the fluids mix, you loose your tranny and that is very expensive. A lot of members have done the bypass and have had no issues. I would just do it.

Welcome, I was thinking about installing the PRG kit. How do you like yours?

imho i wouldnt wait for problems to start arising before doing the tranny bypass. i thought i may have had one of the "good ones" as well... and it cost me $5,000 bucks to repair. ouch.
