Lug nut

Postby pathfinderspot10 » Thu Jun 12, 2014 11:08 am

I saw that the rims on my 2010 pathfinder are all secured with this one lug nut that is different from all. Anybody know where I canget the special tool to take the rims off in the future. I didn't locate one on the vehicle when I bought it.
thanks

ours came "equipped" with a set of Nissan locking lugs (one for each wheel)
the special socket for them was in the vinyl bag with the jack tools

Are you talking about a black bag that is located in the back under a flap in the cargo area?

yes, that's where mine was
the locking lug set (4 nuts and the wrench) was a Nissan accessory when I bought my trucks in 2005
they are probably still available at the dealerships

you can just by a socket to remove locking lug nuts or take it to any tire shop and they can easily remove them.

you will need replacement lug nuts though because the tool that is used can heavily damage the nut

just a thought pathfinderspot10:
beneath the middle rear seats (the three between the back doors), there is a small covered storage compartment
most people don't even know it exists
maybe it's in there?

Ooh thanks I still have hope now lol. And now that I think about it when I bought the pathy, salesman told me that they had just put new tires on the pathy. Maybe they forgot to put the key back in the car. They put some nitto tires I think that's what they are called.

Well, someone had the tool at that point. Check glove box, console, etc.
