Optima Red top dead again!

Postby pawjr74 » Wed Sep 08, 2010 12:51 pm

So my second Optima Red Top has died on me. The first one lasted almost 3 years. (Optima warrantied that one) The second barley lasted 2 years. I think I'm done paying the extra money for the Optima.

I don't blame you. I've been tempted to throw one in mine, but it just seems like the percentage of negative reviews out there is pretty high/higher than other batteries. Lots of stories similar to yours. What type of battery are you looking at now?

I went with an Autozone Duralast Gold. It has the same 3 year free replacement warranty as the Optima did.
