Just curious on what is best to remove tar and tree sap off your paint without ruining or damaging it?

I just use a "bug, tar & sap" remover I bought at the local auto parts store. I use it quite often & it seems to work well enough. I pry up as much of the chunks as I can with my fingernail, then use a microfiber cloth and the remover for the rest.

And, if you don't happen to have any Bug and Tar Remover, a good ol' cleaner wax will do the trick. You just have to use a little more elbow grease than the bug and tar remover, but you will get equal results. Just make sure to wash and dry the Pathy first. I use my reliable Zymol cleaner wax, or Meguiars cleaner wax. Both waxes do the job equally well.

I've used deisel fuel on a lint free cloth and it worked like a charm. Of course you want to clean or wash the truck after removing whatever. Then I would wax the area that was recently cleaned by the deisel fuel. The results were like nothing was ever on the paint. Look it up or "google" it.

ive use a dryer sheet every wash. it removes the bugs and dirt but leaves the wax. i first wash a section with my sponge then go over the soapy area with teh dyer sheet, then rinse and repeat until teh whole car is done. works like a charm and its cheap.
