Hi there,

At one point we all had the same question about HIDs. And at the end we all have different views about it (some like them, some don't) but here is a link to a posting they had not to long ago that might help you decide:

If you do decide to go for it, post some pics. Good luck 8)

Not that it will really help anyone out here. But I just got a Xenon conversion kit put into my 08 Pathfinder LE. It was the Hi/Lo conversion kit rather than just the low beam. It cost me $325 installed and it is absolutely amazing. Brighter than my wife's X5. I am going to get the fog lights done next week for $150. The installed also gave me a 3 year warranty on it.

For those of you in the Boston area, send me a PM and I can let you know where it was done.

Pretty sure this is the kit that I got -

I used a bunch of stuff from

V-leds.com

on my 2001 Pathfinder.

Had to cut and modify the OEM harness into the kit, think pigtails, but, worked GREAT. I loved 'em.

HID light are designed to be more powerful than ordinary factory installed lights and are thus an ideal choice of all those automobile enthusiasts out there.

+1 for ddmtuning. I have two sets from them, both in my jeep, low beams and fogs. They work great and warranty is great too.

I have a set of the DDM Tuning for my 2008 fogs. I like them a lot but I almost always have to cycle the fog light switch a couple of times before they come on. At first it appears that the lights are coming on then they just shut off.

I have tried most of the trouble shooting steps on the DDM Tuning FAQ, swapping bulbs, ballists, checking connections, power, grounds, etc... but nothing has really worked.

I'd try and do a warranty swap with DDm tuning. I have not had any problem with mine in the fogs of my jeep. They are a 9005 bulb, but not sure if that matters.

the wiring harness they sell for $15 I believe will solve that problem. Most cars/trucks have that problem as the wiring for the fogs is so small compared to the headlights.

Like everyone else has said, ddmtuning is amazing, especially for the price. I've had mine installed for about 8 months now with no problems. I got the 4500k in the raptor kit and I love them. I couldn't imagine going back to stock and not having hid.
