2006 Pathfinder w/ factory nav system

Postby leftyfingers » Thu Jan 26, 2012 7:03 pm

So I'm looking to change my factory installed Nav system in my '06 Pathfinder. Does anybody have any recommendations on a good one. Also, will it still show my A/C temps, etc as the current one does?

Thanks,

Did you ever figure out what to do? I have a 05 with factory Nav and have been wanting to do the same thing. The only thing I can think of is finding a non-Nav with auto climate control bezel and connecting to the small lcd screen it has. Or try and put a double din where the screen is, or a car PC there. These are the options I've been thinking of; however, I've had no luck so far finding the bezel.

im guessing you have this?

you could get an aftermarket NAV and hook it up to the same screen. you'd still have all the original features for AC control and radio, with an added NAV that can be turned on/off with a rocker switch.
not the best solution, but it would work.

Do you have te bigger space below that?
You could buy a double din head unit with navigation, Bluetooth, and other options. JVC, Pioneer, and Kenwood all have units that are reasonably priced that you just plug your iPod into via USB port and use a app for the navigation. I'm looking at the Kenwood system DDX-419 for use with iPhone 4 and have heard great things about it. Less than $350 and it's a direct fit, and from what I understand plug an play.
