1999 Pathfinder Headunit (Bose) swap Advice?

Postby jmercjr » Mon Mar 11, 2013 5:27 pm

I have a 1999 Pathfinder LE with a Bose system. The Bose headunit has multiple problems and I will be replacing it with a Jensen 9224bt DVD/NAV unit. Are there any concerns about the bose speaker system being low ohm and what do I need to correct this. Also any suggestions on where to mount the nav antenna and the nav/bluetooth box. Any suggestions on wiring and install will be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Since nobody has any suggestions I will make one myself! Buy a PAC ROEM-NIS2 module that is suppose to interface with the Bose speakers and an aftermarket Head unit.....

I have a 2007 LE and swapped the factory Bose radio for a new Pioneer with Aux, USB, and Bluetooth. Now I have modern audio/Bluetooth technology... hands free cell use and streaming audio for $400 + tax, installed. People I talk to on Bluetooth say it's loud, clear and not much backround noise. Microphone is mounted externally just to the left side of the drivers map light, away from the windshield to reduce noise.
