Capitol Reef National Park

Postby NVSteve » Wed Nov 12, 2008 4:57 pm

Just returned from 4 days exploring this mostly unknown park (to most people), along with Goblin Valley (that will be in another post). One of the few National Parks that you really have to drive off road to see, and one of the few that doesn't require an entry fee (unless you take a 20 mile r/t scenic paved drive).

The campground had about 30 deer wandering around. Froze our butts off in the 23F evenings, nights & mornings:

Gorgeous photos. Man, I envy you. I gotta get back to Utah next year. In fact, after the kids go off to college in a few years, I want to move out to SLC to be closer to places like this.
