Thinking about Lifting My Pathfinder. PLEASE HELP!!

Postby sbm806 » Sat Mar 29, 2014 1:12 pm

am looking to lift my 2008 pathfinder. I am still riding on stock. I am not an off roader or anything I just want the look. I think I am going with the Dunlop Fierce Attitude or Good Year Duratrac Tires in 265-70-17. I want to lift my truck 2 inches back and front....I would like to do the cheapest way possible ike just adding in spacers if thats possible and I also want to add spacers to push the tire out past the fender a little bit...BUt again would like the cheapest way to go about this. Could anyone give me some tips on what I would need? Also if I did lift the truck 2 inches and put the 30mm spacers on what would the biggest tire I could add be?

prg spacers kit will bring you up 2" and you can get 285/75/17 in there

I was looking at a lift kit for 130 on ebay says it will lift the front 2 inches and the back 1.5 ....Will that still fit a 286/75/17?

a 285/75/17 tire is pretty much the same size as my 295/75/16 and i had to cut my fenders to help clear the tires while turning. i also had to cut the pinch weld completely down. i also have 1.5" spacers which cause some of the problems but that will be a tight fit. plus i wouldnt really trust a no name lift for your pathfinder.

Ok thank you for the input. I am not really looking to do all that extra work....I just want the nice look....I am looking at the Dunlop Fierce Attitude M/t tires....Anyone have any feedback on them?,....I think I might just stick with the 265/70/17 that way I dont have to do that extra work. I'm just worried it might look bad if I lift the truck 2 inches with a 265/70/17 and have too much room in the wheel well....But I think I get a half inch running 265/70 over 265/65. Again I'm really not an offroader and the only thing I would take it on is the beach...So I dont need all the extra stability and everything Just more for looks...I want to make it look nice with a cheaper way to go about it. I may go with 1.25 inch spacers I found on ebay for 120 bucks and the PRG 2"lift kit for 270 bucks.....Are those good prices or I can find better? Thanks again for your input....It really helps me out ...I would like to do all this soon but I again have no clue about all this stuff haha.

Someone said something about using the 2.5 inch strut extentions made for the 2005-2012 frontier and use the rancho 2" rear spacers for a 2" complete lift.... Will this work? Again I have a 2008 se pathfinder and I want the 2" lift for looks and to fit a bigger tire. If anyone can help me out with this I'm very new to this and don't know much about doing any of this lol

Any help would be much appreciated thank you!!

That will work and shouldn't change your ride much other than the truck being higher. Watch out you don't lift the front too much though and you get higher in the front than the back. Measure before you buy and add 2.5 to the front and 2 to the back and make sure they end up the same or slightly higher in the back.
