Pathfinder OFFROAD edition

Postby Fargo » Tue May 13, 2014 11:02 am

Does anyone on here have the Pathfinder Offroad package with the 265/75R16 tire package? I was just wondering if that package had any additional lift or offset rims or what was different to fit those tires on it. In other words I was wondering what it would take to fit that size tire on my 2011 Pathfinder.

Also is their a chip to correct the speedometer on the Pathfinders?

Fargo! ...not my favorite town, but way up there in my list of awesome movies :D

I believe that is the tire size I just installed on my SE. I'm running Toyo AT II's, and while clearance is tight, there is no rubbing. About the speedo: With my setup the speedo is now dead accurate. From the factory mine had a small error, as do most (all?) vehicles, apparently for liability reasons (?). I checked mine with GPS and the error is now < 1%. The only issue is when my wife drives it, as her Passat reads almost 10% faster than actual speed.

Hope that helped

LOL ...nothing Fargo specific. I've just driven across the continent too many times. I usually try to block out the drive between Kenora and Calgary ...or between Minneapolis and Boulder. :D

I've got the OR. The 265/75/16 will fit on any of the models. It's the largest OEM size that was offered, and all the speedometers are calibrated for this size. There's no way to correct the speedo for a tire size other than 265/75/16.

Thanks guys. I'm glad to hear that the 265/75R16 will fit without issues. I thought it should but I didn't know if NIssan used different springs or rims or anything for the OR edition to make them fit.

With that info my next tire will likely be a bigger tire than my stock 265/65R17. I know my speedometer reads fast now, so it sounds like the 265/70R17 would be just the right size. However, since I am a fan of tall and skinny tires I will likely put on a pair of 245/75R17 (Same height as a 265/75R16) or maybe even bump up another size to the 255/75R17. Some Rubi takeoffs would look great on my Pathfinder.
