Rear coil spring removal, what's your trick?

Postby staynlean » Fri Aug 07, 2015 7:38 pm

I can't seem to get a spring compressor around the coils at all. How are you guys taking out the rear coils? Are you lowering the control arm down? I wanna knock this out this weekend, what's the best way?

I'm on my last step of my summertime 2015 overhaul. I'm going to make a thread once I get this last step completed to share my experience with the options I chose however I am stuck on this spring issue.

You don't need a spring compressor. Support the lower, rear A-arm with a jack. Disconnect the outer end and lower the jack slowly. Reverse to install.
