Squeaking noise coming from driver side front tire

Postby jasunderland » Tue Mar 22, 2016 6:26 am

I have a really bad squeaking/metal on metal grinding noise when I go over bumps or turn the wheel while the vehicle is stationary. It does not make the noise when I'm on a flat surface driving and turning the wheel. Any thoughts on what this could be?

I believe the squeaking noise has to do with sway bar bushings. There is technical service bulletin on this NTB-10-072A.

...or steering rod bushings, just like in my case - both gone, with ticking metal noise.

Hi,

I did not find the initial squeaking source, and it's coming louder UNDER LOAD, meaning uphill or downhill, while on straights it is quiet. I also notice slight vibration at higher speeds.
So here's updated VIDEO of how it sounds like:
https://youtu.be/MzofzQvsmRk

2 of 4 U-joints were replaced. Might U-joint make this sound?
Also I know ball joints on front and rear legs are worn out, but that's not the right sound, I guess.
It sounds like some rubber hitting the rubber on each driveshaft revolution.
Any idea?
