I have a 2011 Pathfinder with 36,000 miles on her, and I want to change over the PS Fluid.
I see the Nissan PS Fluid, and Redline D6 synthetic; what do you guys recommend?
Thank you

Actually, my manual calls for Dexron VI, so not sure that earlier Dextrin's will work.smj999smj wrote:Genuine Nissan P/S fluid is actually Nissan-matic Type "D" ATF in a smaller bottle. Any Dexron II or Dexron III ATF will work fine in your P/S system.
They must have upgraded it to synthetic, then. Earlier R51s specified Type "D" or Dexron III. If it states go with Dexron VI, then that's what you should go with. Or, you can go with AMSOIL. For P/S fluid on a 2011 Pathfinder, they offer their Signature Series Synthetic ATF, which is recommended for vehicles requiring Dexron VI (and, BTW, NissanMatic "S" ATF):marc515 wrote:Actually, my manual calls for Dexron VI, so not sure that earlier Dextrin's will work.smj999smj wrote:Genuine Nissan P/S fluid is actually Nissan-matic Type "D" ATF in a smaller bottle. I was looking to put a synthetic fluid in it.
