05 SE-OR W/Rancho Quick lift Did you upgrade control arms?

Postby rooch » Tue Apr 26, 2016 6:11 pm

Hi All, Just installed a Rancho Loaded Quick lift on my 2005 SE - Off Road w/150k mikes and after the allignment the Pathy bump steers like crazy now! They did say the outer front passenger tie rod was seized so they couldn't make adjustments. Could that be it?

Also noticed during the lift install that the upper control arms were really loose so that brings be to my main question...did any of you all need upgrade your upper control arms after the lift install? Are the stock control arms ok with the Rancho Quick lift?

Noticed these but they are $700 a pair....yikes

Please advise fellow members...Thanks

What did the alignment spec sheet look like? As in how bad was your alignment on that end where the seized tie rod was? Did they even offer to replace it? ITR’s and OTR’s are relatively inexpensive and easy to replace.

Unless you’re doing some fairly serious wheeling TC UCA’s are probably overkill for you. Also, they’re not necessary with any lift unless you want more wheel travel.

Check Greg’s site, lots of items there, and anything that fits the Frontier’s front suspension will fit the Pathy http://www.prgproducts.com/shop/category/frontier/

I would recomend the airlift 1000 airbags.

Are you running stock shocks in the rear?they could be to soft.

Yes. I've had a 2 in spring lift using Radflos for the last three years. Last week I put on SPC UCAs set to add 1 degree of caster and the handling is night and day. More like stock not wandering all around. I wish I had done this three years ago.
