water pump replacement

Hello everyone. Im trying to remove the water pump from my 2005
But im not too familiar how to exactly release the chain tensioner and hoe to properly gave it slack to remove the pump without messing anything.thanks for any advice

stick a ratchet into the square hole in the tensioner arm, and pivot the tensioner arm downward to release the tension on the belt

Sounds like he's asking about the timing chain, not the belt.
