Radiator issue resolve?

Postby Kestral » Thu Apr 17, 2014 2:42 am

From the info on this site as well as others it seems the radiator/trans issue was resolved with the 2010 model year. Does anyone know what Nissan did to resolve this issue? New radiator design maybe? Or trans fluid line relocation?

the failure seems to be time related. nissan did exted the warranty to 8 yrs/ 80,000 miles. i did the bypass on mine just for added safety

Well, the 2010 model was included in the recall. The updated radiator was '11-'12.

The problem is due to a seal in the cooler assy. inside the lower tank. There's a YouTube vid where a trans shop removed the cooler from the lower tank and pressurized it with air in a tank of water. You can clearly see where the problem occurs.
