Stillen radiator

Postby psinsyd » Thu Jan 22, 2015 7:23 pm

Hey all,

Welp, pulled the trigger and placed the order for one of the aftermarket radiators that Stillen is offering.

With just over 46k miles, it was a proactive peace of mind thing for me.

I'm waiting to see when it ships, and then I'll be scheduling the swap.

I'll keep everyone here posted with progress.

Thanks all.

J

Just received a call from Stillen and they're estimating that the radiator should be available for shipment around the end of February. I'll continue to update the group here as I have updates.

Do you have a V8 or V6?
I am also planing on getting their all aluminum 3 core radiator with larger then oem built in transmission oil cooler, for V8's.

I've got the V6.

If you go with it, keep us posted as well. I'm assuming it's a different radiator for the V8 but I'd have to check on their site.

Got an email that the radiator was shipping sooner than expected, and I received it today!

I'll be setting up an appointment with the stealership in the coming weeks to get it installed.

Keep everyone posted.

Keep me posted as my CPO warranty is almost up and I'll either be doing a radiator swap or bypass.

Hoping to get it swapped out most likely in a few weeks or so. Not looking forward to how much the stealership wants to do the swap!

Got it installed yesterday at the dealership. At least from the top of it, it definitely seems like a work of art and fits perfectly. No issues during the install.

Price for the swap was $405.74, with me supplying one bottle of factory Nissan coolant I had lying around. They had to top off the tranny fluid as well during the process.

Nice! Wish they had them when I replaced mine a couple of years ago!

What, don't want to swap it a second time?

I can only imagine how much of a pain it is to swap one of these things.

Looks nice. I am still thinking about it. with all my mods the oem works still just fine with 2 flex a lite fans. plus before my warranty ran out, friend at the nissan changed my original to new radiator, plus my new GInormes intake Might not fit with the Stillen radiator. Fits good on Titan/Armada, but they have more room.
