Second time around spark plug change

Postby twinblown » Tue Apr 14, 2015 4:10 pm

Well my Pathy turned 212,000 and over the weekend did my plug change; this time I did not remove anything to get to the passenger side plug under the plenum; just a little maneuvering of the coil and separating it before pulling it out in between the plenum and valve cover; If you ever read my post on changing my plugs the first time I had removed the plenum side bracket for ease of access; not needed I guess although it does help. I've already noticed an improvement in MPG's since the new plugs; I have pics to show the condition but can post directly here. Anyways who nowdays givesi free uploads to pics? I use to have imageshack but now they wan money.

I use photobucket for years. stil free and easy to use. all the links are right next to the uploaded picture.

here is the link:

As far as spark plugs, you should have tried the iridium Pulstar plugs
They are like HID's for spark plugs. give you much better burn, wont believe the extra oomph and fuel economy well on my V8 worked great, don't see why it wouldn't on the v6's

Pulstar Technology:

Pulstar Capacitor:

Pulstar Electrode:

Pulstar Testing:

Here is the link for Titan forum where they did the Dyno testing and showed good gains, just from a spark plug.
Check the post#23 for the Dyno results and graphs:

I have mine now for 30k miles and they work great. I did the research and changed to Pulstar plugs way before i found out they didi the tesking on the Nissan Titans.

So, Pulstar only lists spark plugs for the Frontier and the Xtera. I'm assuming there's no difference between their VQ40DE block and ours?

I have been thinking of doing my spark plugs and have been trying to figure out what plugs to use.
How do these compare to NGK Platinums or Iridums?

Thanks!

I made a different thread with all the info about the pulstar. there is even a Dyno to show gains over the NGK plugs. all the links are in that threar. here is the link:

I just changed mine on my 06 / V6. Didn't remove the intake and the really only hard plug to get to was the front one on passenger side.
