Timing chain warranty

I searched the forum and found many threads about the timing chain problem, but I didnt see anything about if it is covered under warranty until a certain period.

Im sure my 06 PF has it, but my son has an 08 Frontier with 64k miles with same engine and I can hear a faint whining noise.

Any ideas?

For some reason I think the warranty for the timing chain ends at 60K.

...OR at X years, whichever comes first. You must check warranty in years, because I am almost sure both are past :/

unless the vehicles have an extended warranty, the warranties expired at 60mo or 60K miles, whichever comes first
