though you recently replaced it, I still suspect a bad pressure sensor/sender
was the new one OEM, or aftermarket?
also, on the U.S. models, the first production year or two had a different sender than the later models
is it possible that you got the incorrect one?

It was this sensor:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/OEM-Oil-Pressur ... 87&vxp=mtr

should match the model and year

it appears that in their table that this sensor fits all 2005-2009 R51s
that can't be right, as the first year or two of R51s had a different sensor than the later models did
the early R51s had an actual pressure guage whereas the later models had what looks like the same guage but really only indicated pressure/no pressure
did you look at the eBay sellers feedback?
apparently they sell a lot of incorrect & faulty parts
is your truck a USA model, what year?

i think this video is from another member of this forum
it seems that his similar symptom was from a non-OEM oil filter

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WzFyHxzTTI0

when did your problem start happening, right away after replacing the sensor, or?
what kind of oil filter do you use?

my R51 was imported from the US, 2005

all a new types of sensor is probably 2 pins
the old has 3, plug is the same?

the problem started to within 2 months after replacing.

I changed the oil one time and oil filter 2 times
but the problem is still
Now I have a filter

I'd do an oil pressure check at this time, or as an alternative, replace the oil filter with a Nissan filter, and if the problem still remains, then do an oil pressure check
Also keep in mind that you may still, though new, have a bad oil pressure sender
The eBay seller has a lot of complaints (negative feedback) about incorrect or faulty parts

I'll check the real oil pressure.

engine speed are correct ?

when i turn on the air condition, engine speed and pressure are rising.

i'm not sure what you mean by this

sounds normal, pressure will rise at low RPMs as RPMs are increased

Just changed my sending unit today after my oil light popped on and the pressure level level was basically pegged at the bottom of the gauge. We had some flooding yesterday and I couldn't resist mashing through the flooded streets. Pretty soon after my oil light came on so I'm pretty sure it shorted out the sensor. Went to oreilly auto and picked up a new one for $70. After install the light has not illuminated again. If you want the part # lmk.

Faulty Switch?

Postby konamark » Fri Jul 24, 2015 3:53 am

I have bought the same exact switch on eBay and am having the same low pressure readings at idle, after the motor warms up. Pretty annoying with the red oil light bouncing on and off. Do you think it's the switch? I did a fresh oil change and Fram filter with no help...

I measured the pressure.

on a cold engine is 4 bar (58 psi)
on the hot decreases to 1.3 bar (19 psi)
at 3000 rpm grows over the scale of 7 bar> 100psi
it seems that the sensor is faulty

not surprising given the considerable negative feedback
i'd be curious to know if it's even really an OEM part (or aftermarket)
maybe when you get a new one from a dealership, you can compare the two and let us know if they are the same
most all OEM electrical components are stamped or labeled by the manufacturer/vendor
i'd like to say at this point that electrical components and oil filters are usually best purchased from a Nissan Dealership, as the quality of aftermarket parts is often questionable (not always, but often)
a new OEM part rarely causes a problem (not unheard of - but rarely)
when taking into consideration the hassle of installing a bad part, then having to figure out what's wrong, purchasing another part and the labor to install it, the cost savings pales rapidly

Faulty Switch

Postby konamark » Sat Jul 25, 2015 12:44 pm

Yesterday, I picked up an oem filter at the dealer... Oil pressure was ok until it got hot, then same low oil pressure. I will pick up another switch locally and see if this works... Thankfully, we can return the eBay switch... LOL. I guess you get what you pay for...
