Valve Body (TCM) Programming

Postby highlinetransmission » Tue Aug 11, 2015 8:09 pm

At our shop in Mesa, Az.we have repaired many, many of the radiator related (as well as the seldom-occurring other) valve body/TCM/Transmission failures.
We almost always use a genuine Nissan Valve Body. BUT - recently we have found that Nissan is not pre-programming the valve bodies any longer and need Nissan's level III programmer to be programmed. So... that entails getting the vehicle over to a stealership after we have replaced the VB and/or transmission to have this done. You may find some older stock that do not need programming, but I was told the non-programmed stock started about 3 months ago.
Just another way that the manufacturer gets another piece of flesh from all of us. Last one (06 PF) was $145 to program. :x
