Searches of message boards claim fitment of a stainless Gibson Exhaust part # 612210 (there is also an aluminized version). But Gibson doesn't gaurantee fit I don't if anything has even changed between 05 and 06 but has anyone used one of these two parts on an 06 at all yet? I don't feel like spending $420-450 just to find out it doesn't fit.

Triffid has done a new gibson exhaust. Maybe send him a message. He has a link to his info/pic site in his sig. Give him a yell.

awesome, thanks for the info. I'll do that.

**edit**
Actually I have e-mailed him before. His Path is an 05 so I would expect it to fit. I don't think there would be any real difference between his 05 and my 06 but I'm just trying to make sure before I order.

I talked with Gibson today and although their website does not show it the same part numbers are used for both the '05 and '06 Pathfinder... Hope this helps... The combo of the exhaust and the cold air intake really do make a big performance difference  ............ Triffid

Very good news. I'm doing the deal right now then. Did the kit come with fresh gaskets for the cat's or did you purchase new on your own? How is the sound/volume of the gibson? Thanks.

I used new gaskets from Nissan... The kit did not have them... I also used exhaust sealant... The system has a lower growl to it but is not very much louder that stock... The Gibson does not have places to re-attach one of the rear grounding strap or the sound damper that come on the OEM exhaust... I used a stainless exhaust/radiator hose clamp to mount the rear grounding strap and sound damper (I have the stainless system)... Just be sure you have enough clearance between the bottom of the vehicle and the rear suspension... It is a very close fit (the OEM exhaust is "flattened" there)... Take your time and make sure of the fit before you tighten everything up... The tail pipe can be cut or left as is depending on how much you want the tail pipe tip to stick out... Hope this helps............. Triffid

Trif- I am planning on ordering the gibson system, do you have a part # or a link for the nissan gaskets you used. I cannot track them down on directpartsconnection.
Thanks

what size are the factory exhaust pipes?

Does anyone have an input with a Flowmaster 50 SUV series exhaust?
I don't know if I want to go with the complete exhaust system offered by Gibson. and I don't know if I can wait for Borla or someone else to release one.
But I am willing to install a muffler.
what size inlet do I get?
thanks very much.
