You could do the crank and cam sensors, they are known to go bad at this age. But that would be more of the 'shotgun' approach than I'd normally like...

Anyways, could I just simply replace the ECM relay?
i just did both of mine for a few bucks apiece because i don't trust anyone else to do it (even though it's a 10 minute job - really easy)
but car_bore, i didn't mean to imply that it would be a solution to your problem, i was just suggesting it as a possibility, especially if the recall repair had not been done yet
but apparently it has, so it's back to a guessing game
it's scary, then again, it's possible that it may never happen again
to start randomly replacing parts will get expensive really fast
