4wd automatically engages while idling

Hi,

I own the R51 2008 RHD Pathfinder.

The vehicle is in the 2wd mode (selector switch) but once the vehicle is idling for about 30s, the 4wd light comes on and the 4wd HI engages.

Once i keep my feet on the accelerator pedal, it does not come on.

My mechanic is not seeing any errors when he did a diagnostic check.

Any advice?

Do you have auto option on selector?
