VQ40 valve lash?

Does the VQ40 V6 use manual or automatic valve lash adjustment? Does it ever need checking or adjusting?

The are solid valve tappets that use shims to adjust the clearance. Unless there is work to the head being done, like cam replacement or a valve job, there shouldn't be a need to adjust them.
