Power Steering Fluid leak

Postby dawgn86 » Mon May 23, 2016 1:28 pm

Changing the oil in my 06 PF yesterday and I noticed what seemed to be a small amount of fluid on passenger side right below power steer resevoir. Feeling the hose that comes from the bottom had some fresh fluid, although the resevoir was still at the full mark.

Seems the hose ends into an aluminum line. Could this be just a leak in the hose? It was getting dark so I couldnt trace the line.

Thanks

The hose from the reservoir bottom to the metal line needs to be replaced. Battery, and reservoir will have to be removed to accessed. Not too hard. I bought a 3/8 power steering line for under 5 bucks and 2 new hose clamps from O'Reilly auto parts.

I recently changed mine, too, on my 2006. I got the hose and clamps from Nissan; they aren't that expensive.
