2011 Pathfinder S

Postby Onlyonthurs2011 » Tue Aug 09, 2016 9:27 pm

Hey everyone! New to the forum and have been just jumping from topic to topic on these pathfinders. So i've had my 2011 for a year now (bought it with 62k on it and now its sitting at 102k...yes my family and i drive ALOT). Anyways ive been digging around on many posts about the bypass coolant fix and ive noticed people saying pathfinders 2011 and newer do not have this issue. I have no problems with it at all and its been very reliable to me. i just want to make sure if there is anything preventative i can do to her I want to make sure I do it. Is there anything else i should watch out for? I also own a 1982 mazda rx7 so im not new to working on cars nor am i afraid to tear into an engine (rotaries are fragile creatures lol)....thanks for having me here....

2011 & 12 were good years as Nissan finally worked out a lot of the "bugs." No need to worry about the radiator/transmission issues, timing chains and I haven't heard of any of those years with the fuel sending unit issues...knock on wood. Most will recommend replacing the rear shocks with Bilstein HD's and installing Airlift 1000 air bags for a better ride, regardless of whether you tow or not.
