you have 2 hoses -
hose A - from external transmission cooler to radiator (passenger side)
hose B - from radiator (driver side) to engine block.
take hose A off radiator (passenger side) and plug into engine block
take hose B off engine block and plug into radiator (passenger side), forming a loop within.
reuse all the old hose and clamp. length is perfect.

I agree....and would do it today! simple and quick to do. I have a 2006 PF. Had 2 hoses going into the bottom of radiator. I pulled them off and joined together with a 3/8" barbed connector and clamped off the radiator connections with 5/16" rubber vaccum caps. Used 4 screw type clamps to secure it all.Col R wrote:I recently bought an '05 Pathfinder with 93K miles. It is in very good shape but I was unaware of the radiator leaking into the transmission problem.
Right now I have had it checked and there is no problem.
Is there a time when you can know the radiator will not be a problem?
Or should I go ahead and do the bypass anyway?
Wonderful info here! I have spent all morning just trying to catch up.
Thanks to all.
