PCV valve

Postby Gray » Fri Mar 28, 2008 12:01 am

OK, looking through the service manual I know there is a PCV valve somewhere at the top of the engine, but is it exposed or buried under the rocker cover. Thanks.

the PCV valve (not PVC valve) is on the rear surface of the passenger side rocker cover. See page EM-41 in the service manual (2005 manual).

Thanks Mike, reason I was asking is because I was looking at a PCV system oil catch can similar to the following;

http://www.ls2portworks.com/Catch_Can.html

Have any used catch cans in the PF or other vehicles and how was the result.
Might save having to buy a MAF sensor sometime in the future.

I replaced mine at 30k, just to see and it looked fine. It's a pain in the butt to do, because of the tight space back there.
