On Spanish and Thai built versions there is an air relief plug at the top of the engine to avoid having to burp the coolant. It's almost always on the passenger side, so LHD by the coolant reservoir and brake resevoir and on RHD by the air intake hose.

Not "every" version of the engine. They had the bleeder on 05/06 North American Pathfinders but 2007 and later don't have it.
